Hello and welcome to our first update of 2025!
We have so much news to share with you as Kenyawi Kids celebrates the 20th year of our connection with Malawi. It was August 2005 when Caroline our founder first boarded a plane destined for Chileka airport in Blantyre, Malawi and despite having no luggage for the first few days and squeezing into her Project Trust partner Abby’s much shorter tops and skirts, the rest is history!
We wanted to share some fun facts this update that we are rightfully proud of.
Did you know?
In the last 4 years we have raised over £100,000 alone for our partners in Malawi. Very little of this has come from charitable trusts and none from big grant funds. It has all come from the grit and determination of our friends and family who see the value every day in what we are trying to achieve with our friends in Malawi- sustainability!
Did you know?
That although our donors funded the land purchase and build of STEKA home for 40 children in Blantyre that primarily supports former street children, we now house and support over 100 children!

That we are entirely volunteer run so any costs associated with fundraising, travelling, treating our partners when we are there is completely covered by volunteers personally so that 100% is guaranteed (plus GiftAid!) to go to our project partners to let them do what they do best, raise incredible children!
